Bride and groom on the garden swing under the pergola greenery at The J House Greenwich, Greenwich CT

Emma & Carlos’s Fall Wedding at The J House Greenwich

. Emma and Carlos got married on a September day that started at a gorgeous stone church in Bronxville, New York, and moved on to The J House Greenwich in Greenwich, Connecticut, for their reception. Between the enclosed garden courtyard, the greenery-wrapped entrance and the hotel’s eclectic interiors, one afternoon gave us more different looks than we could’ve hoped for.

The venue: The J House Greenwich

The J House Greenwich is a boutique hotel with a beautiful enclosed garden courtyard and eclectic art and furniture throughout. Emma and Carlos held their ceremony off-site in Bronxville, about 30 minutes away (closer to an hour with traffic), then brought their whole reception here. Read my full J House Greenwich guide →

The ceremony

Emma and Carlos said their vows at a stone church in Bronxville under the tallest arches and sentimental stained-glass windows that lit up the altar. The two of them exchanged vows in a sweet, heartwarming ceremony.

Portraits

From the church we headed to The J House Greenwich for portraits before the reception. The entrance there is wrapped in hanging greenery and string lights & photographs beautifully at any time of day. The garden swing gave Emma and Carlos a quieter minute together, and inside every corner had another unique photo spot.

The reception

The reception opened with so much “just married” energy, from the cake cutting to dancing the night away.
