The Hill House Wedding Photographer

The Hill House is a rustic private estate wedding venue in Clermont, Florida, and one of my favorite venues I’ve photographed for CBK Studios. The hillside views look nothing like typical Florida, closer to the Carolinas than to palm trees, and the property is full of built-in photo spots, from the oak tree swing to the vintage pink couch.

Photographing weddings at The Hill House

The ceremony site faces beautiful hills below instead of the usual flat Florida horizon, and that view is a big part of why a Hill House ceremony feels different from anywhere else in Central Florida. The oak tree swing is one of the most popular spots, alongside the stunning pink couch. The photo spots are endless with the black barn, the wooden ceremony benches and the lit-up LOVE sign under string lights. In winter, everything shifts earlier: sunset lands around 5:30pm, and the open hillside catches the best light of the day right at the end of it.

The Hill House FAQ

For a December wedding at The Hill House, when should we plan the ceremony for the best light?

Everything runs earlier on a winter schedule. Sunset lands around 5:30pm, so a 2 to 3pm ceremony leaves enough daylight for portraits before the light goes. At Dylan and Karla’s December wedding here, the best light of the whole day came at sunset, when the hillside caught the last of it and the entire property lit up.

What photo spots does The Hill House have?

More built-in spots than almost any venue I shoot. The oak tree swing is the one couples head to first, then the black barn exterior, the wooden ceremony benches facing the hills, a lit-up LOVE sign, and the vintage pink couch. It’s one of my favorite venues because it doesn’t look like anywhere else in Central Florida.
