Bride and groom kiss outside the black barn doors as the wedding party passes at Cypress Creek Farmhouse, Orlando FL

Kaitlyn & Jordan’s Fall Wedding at Cypress Creek Farmhouse

. Kaitlyn and Jordan got married at Cypress Creek Farmhouse in Astatula, Florida, northwest of Orlando, on a November afternoon. The property’s southern farmhouse feel and big open lake gave the day a slower, warmer pace than a typical Central Florida wedding. With horses grazing next door and separate getting-ready spaces for both sides of the wedding party, it’s a venue that lets a couple spread out and enjoy the morning.

The venue: Cypress Creek Farmhouse

Getting ready

Kaitlyn’s dress hung in the farmhouse’s loft, then she came down the staircase for one more quiet look before the day took over.

The ceremony

Kaitlyn and Jordan exchanged vows outdoors under a beautifully draped pergola while the sun was still out. Their two ring bearers stood watch beforehand, “ring security” briefcase and all.

Portraits

With a lake this size on the property, timing was everything. The best light was around 5pm, facing south across the water. Kaitlyn and Jordan’s portraits went from a first kiss outside the barn doors to golden hour along the water with the light under Kaitlyn’s veil.
